A cesarean (se-ZAYR-ee-an) section is one way that a baby can be delivered. Caregivers will do this surgery when you cannot have your baby through your vagina. Caregivers make an incision (cut) in your lower abdomen (belly) and into the uterus (womb). The baby is delivered through this incision. Your C-section may be planned for the delivery of your baby. You may also have a C-section done very quickly in case of an emergency situation. If it is an emergency, you may already be in labor while caregivers are getting you ready for the C-section.

A vaginal-birth after a cesarean (suh-sair-e-in) is also called a "VBAC" (v-back). It means delivering a baby through the vagina (vuh-ji-nuh) after having had a baby before by cesarean section (C-section). A cesarean section is when caregivers make an incision (cut) in your lower abdomen (belly) and into the uterus (womb). The baby is delivered through this incision. The reason why you had the cesarean before may not be present in this pregnancy. Most women (60% to 80%) who have had a C-section before can plan to have a VBAC.

Bear's grape
Trailing or prostrate evergreen shrub with mats of leafy stems, bark fine-hairy. Leaves shiny-leathery, spatula-shaped. A long single, fibrous main root sends out several prostrate or buried stems from which grow erect, branching stems 4-6 inches high. Eventually, the plant will spread to 15 feet coverage of the ground. The bark is dark brown or somewhat reddish.
