Tramadol hydrochloride tablet is a centrally acting analgesic. The chemical name for tramadol hydrochloride is (±) cis -2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl) cyclohexanol hydrochloride. Drug Interactions, Overdosage and Contraindications
Patients taking carbamazepine may have a significantly reduced analgesic effect of tramadol hydrochloride tablets. Because carbamazepine increases tramadol metabolism and because of the seizure risk associated with tramadol, concomitant administration of tramadol hydrochloride tablets and carbamazepine is not recommended.

Missed dose

Precautions
This medicine will add to the effects of alcohol and other CNS depressants (medicine that causes drowsiness).
